Three Roots Harvest: Operational Overview
What type of farm opportunity are we looking for?
We are actively seeking a land lease agreement, though we are highly open to lease-to-own opportunities for the right property to establish our long-term roots.
What is our farming experience?
We are first-generation agricultural entrepreneurs. While this is our first commercial growing venture, we bring a strong, complementary operational foundation to the field. By combining professional backgrounds in solar sustainability and food science, we approach crop management, soil health, and farm operations with a rigorous, analytical, and environmentally conscious mindset.
What agricultural products are we planning to produce?
We are dedicating our fields to two primary, high-quality crops:
Waltham Butternut Squash: Cultivated from May through September.
Hardneck Garlic: Cultivated from October through July.
What are your planned marketing strategies?
Our distribution model is intentionally diversified. We plan to focus on wholesale partnerships and direct-to-restaurant sales to deliver our harvests.
How much land will we need?
We are seeking a compact, manageable plot of 1 acre or less. Our initial business model requires approximately 0.65 acres of active cultivation space (0.5 acres dedicated to our garlic crop and 0.15 acres for our squash).
What facilities/equipment would we like available?
Reliable irrigation capacity is our primary requirement. Additionally, ability to rent existing agricultural machinery on an as-needed basis would be highly advantageous for our operations.
What are your planned farming practices?
Bbest of both conventional and organic practices. Our focus is on maintaining exceptional food quality and ecological balance from the ground up.
Which province(s) are you looking to farm in?
Ontario.
